I chose Riad Soleil D'Or because of its proximity to the Medina of Fez. I wanted to immerse myself in the vibrant atmosphere of the old city, and this hotel provided the perfect location for that. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the free airport shuttle service offered by the property. It made my arrival and departure much more convenient. , I enjoyed the delicious meals served at the riad's restaurant. The local cuisine breakfast and the lunch and dinner options were all delightful.
There were some difficulties during my stay at Riad Soleil D'Or. The lack of communication from the owner was a major issue.

The lighting could be improved in the communal areas.

The decoration of the hotel was absolutely lovely, with beautiful Moroccan style throughout the common areas. It created a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for senior people like myself to relax and enjoy their stay. The accessibility of the hotel was also great, with easy access to the main areas of Fes and convenient facilities for senior guests.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff, especially for senior people. Perhaps a little more attention and support from the children working there would have made for an even better vacation experience.

The staff, especially Souad, went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and that we had a memorable stay. They even added an extra bed in our room for our daughter, which was a nice touch. The facilities were of a very good standard, and the breakfasts were delicious.
Wifi could be stronger in some areas.

The room was absolutely amazing with a private bathroom that had a luxurious bath and comfy bathrobes and slippers. It felt like such a treat after a long day of exploring Fes! We loved how the room had a patio with a view of the pool. It was so nice to relax outside and take in the beautiful surroundings. Having an electric kettle in the room was a great convenience. We could make our own tea or coffee whenever we wanted. The room with a balcony was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting outside and soaking up the sun in the comfort of our own space.
The only downside was that our double room didn't have a bathrobe. But that's just a personal preference, and it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment of our stay.
